4. Payment Terms

• Non-account customers: Orders subject to approval or payment in advance.
• Account customers: Payment due by the end of the month following despatch.
• Late payments: Subject to 4% interest above the Bank of England base rate.
• International orders: Payment terms to be confirmed at order confirmation.

 

 

5. Pricing

• Prices are subject to change. Invoices will reflect prices at the time of dispatch unless otherwise agreed in writing.

 

6. Warranty & Guarantee

• Coverage: 12 months or 12,000 miles / 20,000 km (whichever is sooner)
• Defective goods must be returned carriage-paid immediately upon discovery.
• Claims only accepted if defects are proven to result from faulty materials or workmanship.
• Performance or competition-use parts are not covered.
• Replacements must be authorised by Motive Components Ltd.
• O/E parts may only be used if aftermarket alternatives are unavailable and approved by us.

 

 

7. Exclusion of Liability

• We exclude all other warranties and liabilities unless required by law.

 

 

8. Order Acceptance & Returns

• Quotes are not offers; orders are binding only upon written acceptance.
• Custom or special orders are non-cancellable.
• Returns without written authorisation will not be accepted.
• Authorised returns are subject to a 15% handling fee.

 

 

9. Delivery

• Delivery dates are estimates only. We are not responsible for delays due to events outside our control.
• Delays do not entitle cancellation or refusal to accept goods.

 

 

10. Descriptions & Fitment

• We aim to ensure product accuracy but do not guarantee it.
• It is the installer’s responsibility to verify compatibility before fitting. If in doubt, contact your supplier.

 

 

11. Damage or Loss in Transit

• All claims must be submitted in writing promptly.
• Our liability is limited to the amount recovered from the carrier or insurer.

 

Notification timelines:

• Damage/shortage via our transport: within 7 days
• Damage/shortage via third-party carrier: within 3 days
• Non-delivery (total loss): within 10 days of dispatch
• Other claims: within 30 days of receipt

 

 

12. Legal Jurisdiction

• These Terms are governed by English Law.
• The purchaser submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

 

 

13. Property & Title

• Title remains with Motive Components Ltd until full payment is received.
• Until then, you hold goods as our agent and must:
  • Store them separately and clearly marked
  • Insure them properly
  • Allow us access to recover goods if payment is not made

 

 

14. Carriage Charges

 

UK Deliveries

• Parcel: £8 per parcel (minimum charge)
• Pallet: £60 per pallet (minimum charge)

 

International Deliveries

• Shipping and freight charges will be confirmed at the time of order.
• Manufacturer part numbers are for reference only. Dimensions may vary.

 

 

15. Entire Agreement

These terms supersede all previous versions and constitute the entire agreement between you and Motive Components Ltd regarding the use of this website and the purchase of goods.
